Vault Tokenise

African assets. Clearly defined rights.

Asset tokenisation uses digital records to represent rights established by an underlying legal agreement. For an African mining project, the starting point is the asset, its ownership and the proposed legal structure. A token is one part of that structure.

Start with the rights, then choose the technology

A project may involve equity, a royalty or another contractual interest. These are different economic rights: owning a token does not automatically mean owning physical gold, mineral reserves or shares in the mine. The issuer, governing law, transfer restrictions, payment obligations and investor protections must be defined in the applicable documents before a subscription is considered.

Connect project evidence to the proposed structure

Mine operators should prepare ownership records, licences, geological information, operating plans and financial assumptions. Independent specialists must assess the evidence relevant to their work. An information-readiness score can help organise missing material, but it does not certify reserves, confirm title or approve a project for investment.

Separate issuance, custody and administration

The issuer creates the legal obligation. A custody provider, where appointed, has its own agreement and responsibilities. Technology can support eligibility controls, records, document access and reporting without replacing those parties. Any proposed implementation should identify who can approve transfers, change records and act when a holder loses account access.

Plan for the whole holding period

A sound design explains ongoing reporting, fees, distributions, governance, transfer limits and exit provisions. A transferable digital record does not create a liquid market. Project performance, enforceability and the availability of a permitted buyer remain material considerations.

Common questions

Does tokenisation verify a mining asset?

No. Geological evidence, lawful title, licences and operating assumptions require their own diligence and relevant independent review.

Can anyone invest through the public website?

Public pages provide information. Access to any offering depends on jurisdiction, eligibility, identity checks, approval and the applicable offering documents.
