Regulated services, responsibility and licensing limits

Vault Africa supplies technology and information interfaces. Vault Africa is not itself a regulated bank, payment or electronic-money institution, broker, investment adviser, custodian or cryptoasset service provider; using the Vault Africa technology does not make Vault Africa a regulated financial institution.

Any regulated service requires its own authorised service provider, permitted programme and contract specifying the actual contracting party, regulator or registration reference where applicable, activities, jurisdiction, fees, complaints route and customer protections. References to existing RMI licensing or partner regulatory arrangements describe the particular named licence holder only. Such authorisations are not transferred to Vault Africa or used to imply broader permissions.

Illustrative cards, tokenisation, mobile-money screens and account functionality are not bank-issued products or promises of financial-service availability. Card-network support, issuer participation, transaction execution, settlement and market-specific functionality depend on participating providers, relevant certification, local authorisation and separate eligibility decisions.

Illustrative photography and visual representations

Editorial photographs, people, workplaces, mine imagery and other visuals on this website are illustrative examples. They do not identify or establish the persons depicted as actual Vault Africa customers, employees, partners, counterparties, approved mine operators or endorsers, nor demonstrate a transaction, operational relationship or verified project.

Card designs, screens, wallet and account mock-ups, project imagery, forecasts and demonstrations are not proof of issued financial products, actual balances, independent asset verification, approved offers, licensing or future performance. Only the applicable agreements, verified records and authorised provider disclosures establish the relevant service rights and factual position.

1. A separate agreement for each service

Before you activate a service, you receive the agreement identifying the contracting entity, service provider, applicable authorisation and territorial coverage. That agreement states your rights and obligations. General website content does not replace it or extend a provider’s permissions.

Investment, payments, e-money, cards and custody are distinct services. Approval for one does not give access to another. Availability depends on an approved programme, your eligibility and the provider’s supported countries.

2. Accounts, payments and cards

Account type, currency, funding methods, payment execution times, transaction limits, card issuer and supported networks are disclosed before activation. Charges, foreign-exchange rates and any cancellation rights must be shown before you commit.

An e-money or payment account is not automatically a bank deposit. Safeguarding, deposit insurance and compensation schemes are different protections. The provider’s agreement explains which protection applies, its limitations and the process if the provider fails. Do not assume FSCS or any other deposit protection applies.

3. Investments and tokenised interests

An investment is available only through approved offering documents for eligible participants in permitted jurisdictions. Those documents identify the issuer, legal rights, underlying asset, fees, allocation, distributions, transfer restrictions and exit provisions.

A token does not by itself create ownership of physical gold, a redemption right, an equity entitlement or a guaranteed yield. The executed legal instrument determines the rights. Royalties, project revenues and token values can decline; you may lose all of your investment. Transfers or exits may be restricted or unavailable.

4. Custody and wallet authority

Your agreement identifies who holds funds or assets, who controls keys, and the authorisation and recovery procedures. Connecting a personal wallet does not transfer custody to Vault Africa. Any custody service requires a separate arrangement.

Do not send funds to an address obtained from unsolicited messages. Use only the instructions shown within an eligible service and verify the asset and network. Unsupported assets or networks can cause permanent loss.

5. Subscriptions, fees and instructions

Where a subscription is offered, its price, billing cycle, renewal conditions, cancellation route and refund rules are disclosed before acceptance. Cancelling a subscription does not cancel an investment or terminate a separate provider agreement.

Payment, investment and asset-transfer instructions must be authorised through the relevant service. A support conversation, wallet connection or AURA response does not constitute an instruction to move money.

6. Reviews, restrictions and closure

Providers may request updated identity, business, ownership or source-of-funds information. Access or transactions may be delayed, refused or restricted for legal, security or financial-crime reasons. Notices are given where lawful.

Closure, the treatment of remaining funds or assets, record retention and any ongoing obligations follow the service agreement and applicable law. Account restrictions do not remove your right to complain.

7. Complaints and disputes

Contact vault.africa@vault.africa with a description of your concern and a safe contact method. Complaints about a regulated service are handled through the responsible provider’s procedure. Its agreement identifies response times and any eligible ombudsman, regulator or dispute-resolution route.

We do not promise a particular compensation scheme or omit mandatory rights. Provider-specific complaints, governing-law and dispute provisions are disclosed before the service starts.
